Overview

TrendzHauz Media is a digital music and entertainment publishing platform built from scratch to give a modern media brand a dedicated home for its content.

The platform brings together music reviews, entertainment news, artist features, videos, weekly charts and promotional content in a structured publishing experience designed around discoverability and ease of navigation.

I designed and developed the entire platform, from the frontend interface and responsive layouts to the serverless infrastructure, content management architecture and production deployment.

The project also required configuring the production domain, DNS, hosting, database infrastructure and transactional email flows to create a complete production-ready platform rather than simply a static media website.

The Problem

Digital media platforms need to do more than display articles.

For a publication covering music, entertainment and pop culture, the website needs to make a large volume of content easy to discover while giving the publishing team a reliable system for managing stories, reviews, videos and other media.

The challenge was to create a platform that could combine a strong editorial experience with the technical foundation needed to manage content, deliver it efficiently and remain flexible as the publication grows.

The Solution

I built TrendzHauz Media from the ground up as a custom digital publishing platform.

The interface was designed around clear content categories and strong visual hierarchy, making it easy for visitors to move between music, reviews, videos, news and other sections.

Behind the interface, I implemented a Firebase-powered serverless architecture for content storage and application functionality, while configuring Firebase Hosting and the production domain infrastructure for deployment.

The platform also integrates transactional email functionality through the Resend API, with domain verification and DNS configuration handled through Namecheap.

Architecture

The platform follows a serverless architecture built around React on the frontend and Firebase services on the backend.

Content and application data are managed through Firestore, while Firebase Hosting handles production delivery.

The production domain is configured through Namecheap DNS, with the necessary records used to connect the domain and support external services.

For email-related functionality, the platform uses the Resend API with domain authentication configured through DNS.

Challenges

Building a publishing experience from scratch

Rather than relying on a pre-built CMS or WordPress template, the platform was developed as a custom application. This meant designing the content structure, user experience and application architecture around the publication's specific needs.

Connecting the application to production infrastructure

Getting the application live involved more than deploying the frontend. The project required configuring Firebase Hosting, connecting the custom domain through Namecheap DNS, handling SSL and setting up the required DNS records for external services.

Creating a scalable content structure

Because the platform is designed around continuously publishing new content, the underlying data structure needed to support different types of media and editorial content without making the frontend difficult to maintain.

Results

Delivered a complete, production-ready digital media platform from the ground up, combining a custom React interface with serverless backend infrastructure, content management capabilities and production deployment. TrendzHauz Media now has a scalable digital foundation for publishing and growing its entertainment brand online.
